The Department of Chemistry is a part of testing laboratory No. 1129 "SVI Jihlava Laboratories" accredited by CIA according to CSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018.
Biochemistry and Hematology
Information about the results
It performs physical and chemical examinations of food and feed of animal and plant origin, determination of nutritional values of food according to the requirements of Regulation of the European Parliament and Council (EU) No. 1169/2011, analyzes of food quality characteristics (meat and dairy products, honey, fats, cereal products, etc.), analyzes of nutritional values and quality characteristics of feed and analyzes of health safety of feed.
It performs special chemical analyzes focused on the determination of foreign substances in food and feed - heavy metals, pesticides, polychlorinated biphenyls, mycotoxins, process contaminants (polyaromatic hydrocarbons, acrylamide), residues of veterinary drugs. It performs analyzes of food additives (colors, preservatives, sweeteners, flavors). It performs analyzes of drinking water in accordance with the requirements of applicable Czech and European legislation, analyzes of surface water in order to detect fish mortality and assess suitability for fish breeding.
The deparment of chemistry contains National Reference Laboratory for mycotoxins and other natural toxins, dyes, antibacterial (inhibitory) substances and residues of veterinary drugs, which cooperates with EU reference laboratories.
The laboratories of the chemistry department perform the activity of Medicated feed control laboratories.

The chemistry department also includes TS 4.2 Registered laboratory (audited in accordance with the applicable requirements of the TS 4.2 and CR 3.0 Assessment and Certification – additional scopes of GMP+), which performs analyzes of critical contaminating substances in feed for companies certified according to GMP+.

The laboratory of biochemistry and hematology is a specialized workplace of the chemistry department.
